Billing, charges, and what your subscription pays for
What does a subscription buy?
Resident gives you the resident app: rent payment, visitor codes, maintenance requests, bill payment, document vault. Property Manager gives you the manager dashboard: portfolio, rent roll, units, leases, bills, analytics, two staff seats included.
When does it renew?
Monthly plans renew on the same day next month. Annual plans renew on the same day next year, at the discounted annual rate. Renewal fires through Paystack on a stored authorisation. We never charge a card you did not authorise for renewal.
What if a renewal fails?
Your status moves to past_due. We try the card again at sane intervals. After three failures, the account moves to expired and access pauses. Re-pay through the app and you are back, with the data intact. Nothing gets deleted because of a failed card.
What does cancellation do?
Cancellation stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of your current period. Your data is exportable for 90 days after expiry. After 90 days, expired accounts are queued for purge. We do not pretend this is rare; we just want you to have a clear runway.
Are there transaction fees on top?
Yes, but only on bill and rent payments, and they are Paystack’s, not ours. Your subscription does not contain hidden line items. We may add a small platform fee on the rent route in future; it would be flagged in advance and visible at checkout.
